GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK
Track jackets were really cool in the '90s. Public Service Announcement: they are really cool again. You don't have to take my word for it. Every fashion house from Burberry to Saint Laurent has released fresh takes on track jackets over the recent years, and they've been a hit. That means all fashion labels - whether designer brands or not - have their trains on this track.
What is a track jacket exactly? It's obviously a jacket you can run track in, but we're just keeping it fashion-related here. Don't run track in it and get all sweaty, and then hang out in public afterwards. Anyway, I'm sure you've seen track jackets before. You know, those thin, lightweight, comfortable, breathable jackets that are great for spring or for layering up in the winter.
So why do you need one exactly? Because they're versatile, fashionable, light, and you can always have more than one. And they come in all colors and price ranges, so you can easily find one that suits you. After all, you can never have too much outerwear.
Usually these are worn in more casual settings, but that doesn't mean you can't dress them up. Did I mention they are versatile? Here's one way how:

And you obviously can dress these down and still look like a track boss, if that's a thing. Try wearing it over a plain tee (or even a polo) paired with some sweatpants for the ultimate athleisure look.
Don't confuse these with your traditional hoodies (like below), which usually are more cotton-y than the synthetic sheen of these track jackets. Although polyester and rayon aren't great for suits, they aren't so bad for track suits. If you take care of them (and if you don't get too fat), then these should be able to last you for a very long time. And as always, the best part about outerwear is that you can wear them more often than your tees or polos. So make the most out of your investment.
