History tends to repeat itself... in style
"Retro" is in heavy rotation, but it doesn't stop at tight jeans, throwback jerseys and long hair. Turtlenecks floated away and came back recently. And if you know how to rock it, they are here to stay in your wardrobe. I donated most of mine after college, but starting to rebuilding my own closet with some curated pieces. Time for you to start rocking them and protecting your own neck, just like Wu-Tang has been trying to tell us for decades. You'll look distinguished... like you actually know what you're doing. The cool thing is that turtlenecks are very underrated in their versatility. Here are some ideas.
Rock them under a suit for an easy way to formalize your style. It's quicker than a shirt and tie, but you'll stand out (in a good way). Thinner turtlenecks work better here. Wear a vest over it for a more casual look. Be fun. Look fun. Look like you'll be fun.
Tuck them into your jeans if you want to be like Steve Jobs.
Just throw a jacket over it and party like it's 1999 while also looking like it's 1999. But a much cooler 1999.
Now you give it a try. Here are some good options for building your collection:
